Join this five-session online Autumn Term Course to create your very own sweater, a beautiful unisex pullover designed by Martin Storey using Felted Tweed yarn and Kidsilk Haze.

Whether this is your first time making a garment, or simply your first attempt at a seamed structure, "Millet" is an excellent project to begin with. This unisex design offers a wide range of sizes and can be customised in many ways to create your ideal style and fit: work broad or narrow stripes, add contrast-coloured edgings, or knit it all in a single colour; you can also adjust the body and sleeve lengths.

This five-week class will take you through the entire process, from choosing the right size and ensuring you’re using the correct needles, to reading and following the pattern, through to sewing up and finishing. If you’re nervous about making garments, this class is for you.

In each session, Kate will explain and demonstrate key parts of the pattern, provide guidance on the more challenging steps, and talk through customisation options, all with the aim of making the process easy and enjoyable, and helping you achieve exactly the result you want.

The class is structured as a knit-along, with plenty of time to work through the project. Kate will also share tips on how to get the most out of the sessions even if your knitting time is limited. All classes are recorded and available for a year, so there’s no pressure to keep up in real time.

Small classes with plenty of attention from your tutor will ensure that you make lots of progress each week. Classes are recorded so you can catch up on anything you missed and rewatch sections as many times as you like.
